Our team at Household Staffing is dedicated to caring for the caregivers.
We recognize that household employees play such crucial roles in homes across the country and we value their contributions, creativity, and hard work.
Supporting Nannies Through the Nanny Relief Fund
We regularly work with homes seeking qualified and compassionate nannies, who truly are the heart and soul of the childcare industry.
A dedicated nanny invests time, effort, emotion, and imagination to their position, and if crisis strikes, many of them don’t have anywhere to turn for assistance.
The Nanny Relief Fund aims to fill that gap.
The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the gaps and inequities that domestic employees often face.
The Nanny Relief Fund was born during that time and was established as a 501(c)3 nonprofit launched in 2020 to provide nannies specifically with tangible support when they need it most.
Since then, the organization has distributed approximately more than $189,000 to 330 nannies.
“In 2025 alone, we put $27,950 directly back into the hands of nannies in crisis, providing aid to 44% of our total applicants,” Rachael Lubin of the Nanny Relief Fund shared.
“Additionally, 50% of the caregivers who apply for our grants have 10 or more years of experience in the industry, demonstrating how vital this safety net is for retaining seasoned childcare professionals.”
Emergency Support for Nannies in Crisis
The Nanny Relief Fund operates by donations from agencies, businesses, and individual champions to offer emergency grants to nannies experiencing difficulties related to natural disasters, medical emergencies, or precarious employment.
The organization’s work has been lifechanging for those who have received assistance.
Household Staffing understands that value that each domestic employee brings to a home and that’s why we have regularly partnered with the Nanny Relief Fund.
This year, we have been recognized as a principal benefactor.
“We are so grateful to be involved in this organization,” shared Olivia Fountain, director of operations for Household Staffing.
“I was a nanny for 14 years, so Nanny Relief Fund is very special to me.
I remember when Covid hit and I watched on social media as nannies all over were being let go with no notice or protection – it truly broke my heart.
It was amazing to see everyone rallying together to help the helpers.”
Household Staffing’s Commitment to Caregivers
Looking ahead, our company is dedicated to ensuring domestic employees are well cared for – both in and outside of the homes they work in.
Starla Smith, president of Household Staffing shared:
“Supporting the Nanny Relief Fund was an easy decision to make. I couldn’t think of a more deserving group of individuals that work endlessly, making other lives so seamless. I personally vow to continue our yearly tradition of giving, so that we can support others in need of financial help.”
