National domestic staffing agency continues its tradition of giving to nonprofit providing emergency financial assistance to nannies facing unexpected hardships.

November 4, 2026 — Household Staffing, a nationally recognized domestic staffing agency with more than 30 years of experience connecting families with professional household employees, is proud to announce its recognition as a principal benefactor of the Nanny Relief Fund, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing emergency financial assistance to nannies experiencing unexpected hardships.

The recognition reflects Household Staffing’s ongoing commitment to supporting the professionals who dedicate their careers to caring for families and children across the country.

Founded in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Nanny Relief Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit established to address the financial vulnerabilities faced by professional nannies. The organization provides emergency grants to caregivers affected by medical emergencies, natural disasters, employment instability, and other qualifying crises.

Since its founding, the Nanny Relief Fund has distributed more than $189,000 in assistance to approximately 330 nannies, providing a critical safety net for an often-overlooked segment of the workforce.

“In 2025 alone, we put $27,950 directly back into the hands of nannies in crisis, providing aid to 44% of our total applicants,” said Rachael Lubin of the Nanny Relief Fund. “Additionally, 50% of the caregivers who apply for our grants have 10 or more years of experience in the industry, demonstrating how vital this safety net is for retaining seasoned childcare professionals.”

For Household Staffing, supporting the Nanny Relief Fund is a natural extension of its mission to advocate for the well-being, fair treatment, and professional recognition of domestic employees.

“Supporting the Nanny Relief Fund was an easy decision to make,” said Starla Smith, President of Household Staffing. “I couldn’t think of a more deserving group of individuals that work endlessly, making other lives so seamless. I personally vow to continue our yearly tradition of giving, so that we can support others in need of financial help.”

Household Staffing’s commitment to the organization is also deeply personal for members of its leadership team.

“We are so grateful to be involved in this organization,” said Olivia Fountain, Director of Operations at Household Staffing. “I was a nanny for 14 years, so Nanny Relief Fund is very special to me. I remember when Covid hit and I watched on social media as nannies all over were being let go with no notice or protection – it truly broke my heart. It was amazing to see everyone rallying together to help the helpers.”

While professional nannies provide essential support to working parents and families, many face financial uncertainty when unexpected events disrupt their employment or personal circumstances. Unlike employees in more traditional industries, domestic workers may lack access to employer-sponsored benefits or other financial protections.

Through its continued partnership with the Nanny Relief Fund, Household Staffing hopes to raise awareness of these challenges while encouraging other agencies, employers, and individuals throughout the domestic staffing industry to contribute to the organization’s mission.

“Caring for the caregivers” remains a guiding principle of Household Staffing’s approach to domestic employment, extending beyond successful placements to championing the long-term well-being of the professionals who make those placements possible.
