Hi, my name is Arta (Besarta Bardhi) and I am currently a one to one instructor, group math instructor, and an assistant coordinator with Launch Math and Science Centers as well as being a college student at Marymount Manhattan College. I have always loved working with kids, I work with kids from PreK-8th grade, and I have found that working with kids is very rewarding as it allows me to help children build their confidence and to start loving subjects that used to frustrate them. At Launch Math and Science Centers I work with students on a variety of topics, both those that they are doing in their classes and others to help foster a love of math and science. I focus on making sure they really learn the concepts and how it applies to their interests and hobbies, which always helps them to work even harder and be more engaged in the work. I also conduct assessments based on New York State Common Core Testing, always taking into consideration any learning disabilities or other struggles a child might have. I am responsible to prepare the curriculum for each student individually based on their assessment scores, and subjects that they need to work the most. In my classwork I am working on a degree in psychology and neuroscience, I am personally interested mostly in child psychology so I can better help kids with a range of issues they are going through. Recently I had the blessed life opportunity to teach children in Tanzania, East Africa math and english. This experience just enhanced my passion working with kids. I really enjoy trying to help kids in any way I can and I can\'t think of a better cause than providing a child with the best opportunity to lead a successful life. I have over 10 years of experience babysitting newborns, twins, toddlers and children from age 0-14. Regardless of their age, or culture, I believe on expanding their horizons and views about the world. I love taking kids to museums, reading to them, and doing anything educational that fascinates and inspires them, while also teaching them. My main approach when working with children is to build their confidence and having a comfortable atmosphere for them, and always making it fun. I am willing to meet potential clients at their home or anywhere else that might be more convenient. I look forward to helping your child learn and grow!

Hello! My name is Bridget Gunn and I recently relocated to Park Slope after graduating from SUNY New Paltz in upstate New York. I worked as a nanny for about 7 years and have great references from a few different families. I also have a bachelors degree in psychology and an extensive education in child psychology. Most recently I worked for a single mom and her two young children, and so I was entrusted with a great deal of responsibility. I helped with managing schedules, transportation, homework-help, meal prep, pet care, and more. I became very close with the family as I watched the children grow over a period of 2 years, and I even helped them adopt two adorable kittens. To this day I still visit this family and occasionally act as a house-sitter when they go on vacation. While in college, I worked in an early intervention classroom for children with developmental disabilities. These children were between the ages of 12 and 36 months and had been diagnosed with a variety of disabilities including autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, childhood apraxia of speech, and physical developmental delay. I worked with these children in a classroom environment that facilitated intellectual, physical, emotional, and speech/language development. I found this to be a truly rewarding experience. I love working with children and hope to open a private practice one day that specializes in child mental health counseling. In late August, I will be attending Brooklyn College's masters in mental health counseling program. Since my classes will be exclusively in the morning, I hope to continue working with Household Staffing throughout the school year. Thank you for your consideration!
I am a self-starter, highly motivated, detail oriented, reliable, meticulous, resourceful person and have effective time management skills. I am a caring individual, with warm heart that can accommodate your children. I am also an all around person who can handle laundry, cooking, household chores, and most of all, taking care of your children. I was a nurse in the Philippines for almost 3 years and was working in a tertiary hospital. I can handle any job that you will give me. I just migrated here in the USA last May to marry my husband. We do not have any children, so I can handle any work hours and be very flexible with my schedule. I worked for almost 2 years in the Philippines as a nanny during the weekends to a 2 year old boy. He needed special care because he had a cleft lip and palate. Here in New York I worked as a part time nanny to a 22 month old boy. I am looking for a secure position with one family.
