Private family looking hire a Live-in Estate Manager, Friday – Tuesday, for their Port Washington, New York estate in Long Island. The Estate Manager would be responsible for managing the current household staff and develop work schedules. Additionally, you will be responsible for training household staff so the home runs properly and efficiently. You will ensure all of the Principles expectations are met. Additionally, you will be experienced in planning parties and working within budgets to very small intimate gatherings to large parties of up to 300 people. Flexibility with your schedule and your days off is required. Light cooking is also required and you must be a person who enjoys animals as the family has many on the property (dogs, birds, fish etc.). The busiest times in this position are May – October. Having an unflappable, calm personality and working well under pressure will serve you well in this position as there are many moving parts involved in the position. There is an existing house manager. The current House Manager would remain #2 and the Estate Manager would be #1 as to manage all of the staff. The family is only considering local candidates who know the Long Island area.
